The 13th annual Startups Awards are now open to privately owned UK-based businesses launched on or after 1 August 2012 giving the winners the opportunity to receive major publicity, validation and increased exposure.
The awards will be judged by a high-profile panel of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors who will also decide the winner of the ultimate prize; Startups Business of the Year, with the winners being revealed on the evening of Thursday 17 November 2016 during a special ceremony at The Royal Garden Hotel in London.
The competition is open to app developers, home-based entrepreneurs, franchisees and many more, so interested parties should investigate the 13 available categories and must apply by September.
The list of award-winning alumni is impressive, from naming Ella’s Kitchen as micro-business of the year way back in 2006 to honouring Purplebricks.com as Innovative Business of the Year in 2015 just ahead of its £58m AIM-listing.
As a spokeswoman for startups.co.uk said, every year the Startups Awards unearths hugely exciting and transformative new businesses and entrepreneurs that continue to make people sit up and pay attention to the start-up community.
She added that the organisers are looking forward to receiving entries from new businesses that will become industry leaders in the years to come, as the UK’s start-up community continuing to flourish and thrive
